![]() ![]() I'm basically wondering how it should be set up, so I can mimic that. ![]() The only way it seems to be able to work is by mapping the network drive, then disconnecting it, then running syncback using //Diskstation/. and set up with dedicated user credentials in syncback (and no connection to the NAS using windows explorer). Extend the Capabilities of SyncBack with WebDrive File Transfer Client. Is it best to set up the NAS as a network drive, and then run the back up using the assigned windows drive letter? Or should it be mapped to //Diskstation/volume1/. If you use Synology NAS, you likely have lots of data and information that you. So what I want to be able to do, is run syncback (or some other software) which mirrors the contents of a local folder onto a folder on the NAS. It has been working great for ages but lately I've been having all sorts of weird issues, which I think are related to permissions and accounts on the NAS. There is a copy of all the media on my local PC, and add media to my local PC, and then run a backup task to mirror the contents on my PC to the NAS. Long story short, I have a Synology NAS, which I use to serve media to a Kodi machine. First of all I'm not that technical so have a cobbled together solution which may not be entirely optimal, so apologies for any frustrations. ![]()
